Good corporate governance creates manifestly more transparency and pays off in the long term for the investor. The debate about what good corporate governance is, and how it can be embodied in rules and guidelines, is, however, far from being over, and shareholders, managers, politicians and scholars continue to champion differing views.
INSIGHT Corporate Governance Germany (ICGG) provides a monthly survey in English and German of the corporate-governance scene in Germany. ICGG will present current developments in the political and academic debate, and show whether and how companies are complying with models of good corporate governance in their conduct. ICGG is a platform for debate and for opinion contributions on the theme of Corporate Governance, as well as giving information on capital measures and an overview of changes in holdings, on boards and on Supervisory Boards.
The publisher and editors have been observing corporate-governance developments in Germany for several years now. The publisher is the association CLUB of FLORENCE (CoF) - International Institute for Good Corporate Governance, whose co-founder Hans-Martin Buhlmann has for years been representing in depth the interests of a host of institutional investors from throughout the world. The editors-in-chief, Dr. Hans-Peter Canibol and Norbert Paulsen, have previously worked at the Börsen-Zeitung, Focus, Impulse, Telebörse and the Wirtschaftswoche.
